Dimitrios Konstantaras is a Chartered Civil Engineer with more than 15 years of construction industry experience. He has acted as a delay expert and assistant to the named expert on numerous occasions.
Dimitrios is widely experienced in arbitration, litigation and adjudication proceedings, undertaking detailed analysis and developing expert reports. He has been appointed as a delay expert for disputed projects with values of up to $1 billion, working across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and South America.
Dimitrios has worked as a tunnels design engineer for a leading international design consultancy and as a technical advisor to lenders, providing programme and project management services in major tunnelling and highway concession projects. He has extensive experience in managing design and build projects, including commercial and residential building projects, from inception, design and planning, through to construction and delivery.
Dimitrios expertise includes critical path, disruption and delay, programme, and productivity loss analyses. He has provided expert services during legal proceedings on matters of design, construction, and manufacturing for projects across a wide range of sectors including, rail and tunnelling transportation projects, oil and gas facilities, pipelines, mixed-use and high-rise building developments, specialised research laboratory facilities, and manufacturing and hydropower plants.
Dimitrios is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, the European Federation of National Engineering Associations, the Technical Chamber of Greece, and the Society of Construction Law. He holds a master’s degree in construction economics and management and is currently studying towards a construction law and dispute resolution master’s qualification. He is fluent in both Greek and English.
