Michael Handlon is a Chartered Financial Analyst with nearly 20 years of experience. He has served as an expert and has assisted the named expert on more than 50 occasions.
Michael advises clients and counsel regarding financial, economic, accounting and damages issues. He has testified regarding damages issues at deposition and presented damages models and analyses to third parties as part of settlement negotiations.
Michael has provided economic and damages consulting to clients on a variety of commercial and government contract disputes and investigations. He has assisted clients across numerous industries, including financial services, shipbuilding, aircraft and aerospace, manufacturing, insurance, construction, and consumer services.
Michael has extensive experience analyzing and calculating financial damages related to commercial disputes, including settlement calculations and distributions, lost profits, business interruption, purchase price disputes, construction disputes, and product warranty disputes. He also has significant government contract expertise, including development and analysis of claims and REAs for government contractors. Michael has consulted on government contract investigations (false claim/qui tam lawsuits) and commercial investigations (SEC investigations and class action lawsuits).
Michael holds a degree in finance and is a member of the Chartered Financial Analyst Institute and the CFA Society of Chicago. He has presented to public agencies and universities regarding damages issues.
