Joseph Kirby is a Chartered Financial Analyst with ten years of experience. He has been appointed as an expert and assisted the named expert on more than 20 occasions in matters of forensic accounting and commercial damages.
Joseph has prepared expert reports on matters before the UK High Court, UK Family Division, the High Court of Trinidad and Tobago, the LCIA, ICC and DIS arbitration forums. He has assisted on disputes with values in excess of $1 billion and has supported clients across a diverse range of sectors including energy, oil and gas, professional services, financial services, industrial, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and transport.
Joseph’s background includes the provision of valuation services in relation to merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions, employee compensation schemes and financial reporting. He is also experienced regarding commercial and corporate reporting valuations and loss of profits assessments.
Joseph specialises in the assessment of damages and contentious valuation issues in litigation, international arbitration, and expert determinations. His expert work relates to matters involving breaches of contract, shareholder disputes, breach of warranty, unfair prejudice, transaction-related disputes and intellectual property infringements.
Joseph holds a master’s in economics and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Financial Analysts. He has co-authored articles regarding climate related disputes in relation to emissions reductions.
