Panos Bertes is a civil engineer with over 15 years of construction industry experience. He has been appointed as a delay expert and has assisted the named expert on numerous occasions.
Panos has assisted in providing expert evidence on more than 20 high-profile international arbitration disputes. He has delivered support and advice to client and legal teams, by analysing construction delays to identify the root cause, for large-scale projects across the real estate, oil and gas, military, power, marine, airports, rail, infrastructure, and heavy civil construction sectors.
Panos has a wide range of hands-on project experience ranging from project management, change management, and stakeholder management to commercial, claims and delay analysis matters. He has worked for both contractors and consultants across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and South America.
Panos specialises in critical path and delay analyses. He is known for his meticulous and proportionate approach to his analysis whilst providing independent opinions on complex (in nature) matters, in a simple manner based on common sense.
Panos holds an MBA and a master’s in project and programme management and business development. He is Prince 2 certified, an associate member of the Academy of Experts, and a member of the Society of Construction Law.
