24th World Petroleum Congress

Join Partners Caryn Fuller and Toby Hunt as they represent HKA at the 24th World Petroleum Congress on September 17–21 in Calgary. This premier oil, gas, and energy congress is hosted by WPC Energy, which consists of approximately 60 National Committees representing the organization’s member countries. As a strategic and technical gathering, the Congress attracts some of the biggest names in the energy industry, as well as government leaders, decision-makers, and innovators from around the world.

Caryn is presenting “Identifying Potential Factors to Help Mitigate and Avoid Risks on Oil and Gas Projects”, a paper co-authored by Toby, on September 19 at 10:15 AM MT. This paper, a continuation of the paper authored by Toby and presented by Caryn at the 2021 Congress, discusses how data from HKA’s Fifth Annual CRUX Insight Report demonstrates the drastic transitions taking place in the oil and gas industry and how these changes are influencing potential causes of claims. It includes updated data and provides further crucial insight into the impacts and influences of COVID-19 on the oil and gas industry, along with other causes.  

Toby demonstrates HKA’s continued support of the Congress by serving as Chair of the UK Committee, which is running a CEO Strategic Session titled “Is Energy Security Threatening the Energy Transition?” on September 21 at 1:30 PM MT.

With more than 400 leading energy industry speakers, the World Petroleum Congress hosts many important conversations that help define realistic, workable paths to a net zero future. The Congress also serves as an important bridge between the traditional energy sector and a more carbon-neutral industry over the next 25 years.
