What is CRUX?

CRUX is HKA’s comprehensive and integrated research into the causation of claims and disputes arising on construction projects in the Middle East. It is the widest-reaching, fact-based analysis of its kind in the industry today.

What will we cover?

In this free webinar, Husam Gawish and Conrad Bromley will discuss HKA’s CRUX Insight Report and how the results of the analysis can be utilised to mitigate the instance of disputes, or even to prevent disputes before they arise.

They will review the primary and secondary causes of delay identified from across 700 projects in 72 countries, with total project capital expenditure (CAPEX) in excess of US$1.2 trillion. Husam and Conrad will provide a focused look at the Middle East region and discuss the key causation factors identified in major industry sectors, comparing and contrasting between sectors and regions.

Why should you attend?

We know that the construction industry is slow to learn lessons from past mistakes and slow to implement change. The consequences of delay, disruption, lost productivity, cost overrun, and poor quality are not only significant for clients but for industry and economies at large. The CRUX Insight Report is a window into the common causation factors that lead to delay and disruption; it is an opportunity for employers, contractors, and the whole supply chain to better understand, prepare, and manage the complexity of their projects, by mitigating the causation factors known to impact the successful delivery of major construction projects.
