12 June 2019 5.00 – 8.00pm:  HKA in association with Edwin Coe will host a complimentary seminar on the subject “Adjudication – not for the faint of heart”. The seminar will be led by Nik Haria of Edwin Coe and will include presentations by Brenna Baye from Edwin Coe, Mark Borg and Karen Best from HKA. The session is suitable for construction professionals, in-house legal staff, commercial directors and other decision makers.

About Our Speakers

Mark Borg is a chartered quantity surveyor and testifying quantum expert with over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. Mark provides commercial advice to clients on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial/retail, hotels, schools/universities, MEP, waste to energy plants, power plants, civil, leisure, oil and gas, marine and rail. He has extensive experience of commercial negotiations on construction projects with both standard and bespoke forms of contract. Mark regularly provides advice on formal dispute resolution and dispute avoidance. Karen Best is a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 25 years of experience in the construction and engineering industries. She worked as a site agent and senior engineer for almost a decade before moving into construction consultancy, giving her a strong grounding for the delay expert and expert assistant roles that she has undertaken. Nik Haria specialises in construction law and dispute resolution and handles both contentious and non-contentious construction work. He has a wealth of experience in providing strategic advice to clients involved in construction disputes. Brenna Baye joined Edwin Coe LLP as a trainee in September 2011, Brenna qualified into the Property and Construction teams in September 2013. Since qualification, Brenna has dealt with a wide range of both real estate and construction matters. Brenna specialises in construction law, advising individuals and companies from a wide array of sectors on various aspects of both non-contentious and contentious construction matters
