Introduction

HKA Expert, Sue Kim is delighted to be invited to speak at the Society of Construction Law (Singapore)’s third “Focus on Asia Conference” on Thursday, 28 October 2022.

As the construction industry (both in Singapore and the region) considers how it can return from the torment inflicted by the global pandemic, we explore the critical success factors for the industry as it navigates the new normal. In this light, what role does Sustainability play in the conversation? Is the industry sufficiently resilient to come back stronger and more efficient? What avenues for reimagination are there for the industry in light of disrupted supply chains and increasing cost pressures? Is reform overdue? How are we getting back to business?

The Annual Conference will also host some of the foremost construction law practitioners, senior in-house counsel and industry experts to provide delegates a series of four sessions which focus on:

  • Rethinking Buildings – Challenges and Opportunities of Transitioning to Net Zero
  • Reimagining Finance-Sustainable Investment and Financing of Large-Scale Infrastructure
  • Re-Engineering Project Conception – Implementation till Completion and Beyond
  • Reforming The Energy Industry – A Debate on The Motion “This House Believes That Renewables are the Beating Heart of a Sustainable Future”

Sue Kim will join the panel discussion on “Re-Engineering Project Conception – Implementation till Completion and Beyond”.
