HKA is proud to sponsor the STEM Women careers event at the ICC Sydney on Friday 10 March 2023.
The event introduces students and graduates to STEM employers in Sydney. The event is for people who are studying or recently graduated from, a STEM-related course at university and with an interest in working in industry. It’s targeted at students who identify as female and non-binary, but it’s open to all regardless of gender.
HKA will have a booth where students can drop by to talk to our People team, as well as representatives from the business.

Simone Gooley | Consultant
Simone is a passionate and driven professional with four years of experience in the built environment. Simone is enthusiastic about delivering projects differently, collaborative contracting and creating a sustainable infrastructure industry. With a strong background in Architecture, She specialises in applying her practical knowledge to commercial advisory, delivery model development and transaction management. She is proficient at solving difficult problems and utilises a methodical approach to drive client outcomes. She has strong communication skills and an outgoing, energetic personality that ensures first-rate service to both clients and colleagues. She thoroughly enjoys dealing with a wide range of people and takes pride in maintaining good relationships and establishing rapport.
Simone is part of HKA’s Commercial Advisory team and will be a speaker at the event.
Pamela Bustos | Senior Consultant
Pamela is a project manager with over 12 years of experience in design and build construction, enabling works and soft projects. She is experienced in end-to-end project management from procurement to completion within a large multi-disciplinary public sector organisation. She has successfully planned and delivered projects by developing strong relationships with stakeholders whilst understanding the internal and external factors of the project and working environment.
Pamela is part of HKA’s Infrastructure Delivery team and will be at HKA’s booth.
Elle Weeden | People Director, Asia Pacific
Elle is an experienced human resources specialist who has worked in the financial services, construction, retail and entertainment industries. She has a strong focus on human resources management and development and is passionate about providing colleagues with the tools and support they need to reach their full potential in their careers at HKA.
Jessica Northcote | Recruitment Manager
Jessica is an experienced recruiter with the desire to deliver results and find the right people for the right roles across all of our services in APAC. She has developed an in-depth knowledge of the business and seeks opportunities to collaborate with different teams to help us achieve our goals. Jessica is passionate about building strong networks and relationships and plays an active role in promoting awareness of HKA’s initiatives and culture.
